He is recorded in US census records for Giles County, Tennessee in 1900 and 1910 as a farmer of black colour born in Alabama. In both census his father is recorded as being born in North Carolina whilst his mother is recorded as being born in Alabama in 1900 and Tennessee in 1910. Both of these census show his wife as being the mother of 12 children with 8 still living. The death registration for Andrew, where his wife Ella is the informant, records his parents as being William and Fannie Mannon, both born in Virginia.
The 1900 census shows Will Tom Eldridge as a son of Andrew and Ella however in
1910 Will Tom Eldridge, together with David and Eddie J Eldridge are shown as
grandsons of Andrew and Ella.
Caution: The following descendant list speculates that Will Tom is the son of
Mattie Lou Eldridge and David and Eddie J are sons of Major Eldridge and his
first wife Lizzie Bass.
