Jackson Fenton Eldridge is recorded in US census for Montana from 1910 to 1940 as being born in Texas. On his registration for WWI he is shown as being born on 26 Aug 1877 however for his WWII registration his birth date is 26 Aug 1878 and this date is also shown on his death registration when his wife was the informant however his parents are shown as unknown in that record.
Following his death an obituary was published in the The Independent-Record of Thursday 10 Feb 1944 which says that amongst his survivors are three sisters and four brothers. This detail and pure speculation could place him in the family of Peter Eldridge and his fourth wife Sarah Minerva Smith as they were in Burnet County, Texas in 1870 and she was at San Antonio in Bexar County, Texas in 1900.
